LMS - Volume 4 Summary [spoiler]

Post  Vielfras on Sat Aug 20, 2011 8:10 am

This is a copy of what iheartz has posted on the Jcafe forum. I have yet to read the 4th volume, but once I read it I will edit what he wrote.

Thank you iheartz for your great help, hard work and dedication in typing out this huge wall of text.

The summary:

Chapter 1: Plains of Despair

Spoiler:
*The volume starts us of in the middle of a busy street between two churches of Freya. Weed, our protagonist, is jumping, stomping, yelling, crying and having a tantrum scaring the sh*t out of the others players and NPC's.
For more than a month he worked on the Bingrong(Ice Dragon) statue. A statue titled as one of the wonders of the north, giving those who lay their eyes upon it a dozen of buffs and bonuses. The guardian angel that protects the town of Mora from an onslaught of monsters. Weed's masterpiece! Was left stranded in the tundra near Mora as Weed was teleported back to the holy city.

* After determining that it’s a cruel, callous world, he walks back to the Church of Freya (with Ron Alves a bit shocked at the crazy man xD) and returns the Crown taken from Tori, servant of the Lich King Bar Khan.
For completing the quest Weed is rewarded with:
- 1200 fame
- A rise in 31 familiarity with the church
- Freya gains a 2,200 increase in influence, with a total of 4612 influence.
Weed’s level rises by 9 and he receives 30 (?) health potions and holy water vials.

*It then goes on to explain how health potions were extremely expensive and unlike old-age MMORPG only a few could afford to use them. However as they are also extremely useful in a pinch, seeing as it is an instant-use item, the higher level you were, the more likely it was you owned one in case of an emergency..

*His last reward was this dust covered, old leather belt. The high priest explained that it is one of the churches treasured items, and since Weed is a Sculptor, he wants him to have it.
After identifying the belt Weed's face is covered with a smile.
Red Wyvern Leather belt: 60/60 Durability Defense:22
A belt made out of a Wyverns hide, it is extremely light and will never tear apart. With special places to put your tools, and a carving of a Wyverns head, this belt is perfect for the aspiring Sculptor.

Limitations: level 150
Effects: +15 Charm , +10 strength, +30 agility/dex, +30 fame.
+7% to Sculpture mastery.

Weed’s slightly disappointed because due to the lack of engravers, the price for the belt would only be about $10. Whereas the value of the Crown is unimaginable.
In addition, he also receives a guarantee of free treatment, blessings and use of teleportation gates at any Freya chapel.

*The Head Priest sighs and mentions Necromancer activity in the Plains of Despair. He tells Weed that the church is powerless against this undead army, and that every paladin and priest that are sent to stop them are killed and resurrected into the unholy army. Moreover, lured by the promise of immortality, many join the army of their free will and soon they will become unstoppable.
He begs Weed to investigate/slay (not sure which) the necromancers in the rumors.

*Weed accepts the Rank B quest and is advised to go to the Rosenheim kingdom for more information and to pick up supporting units for the quest.
He then comments on how the Plains of Despair is almost off the map, with only its edges explored and virtually completely unknown.

* After PMing (private messaging) Mapan and meeting up with him, he finds Mapan with a stunning lady, who is introduced to be Hwaryeong (something to do with a flower?), a Dancer (similar to a Bard class except for dancing instead of singing/playing instruments).
Although she is lvl 175 she usually dances and sends any monsters she encounters into a stupor and then runs away on Mapan’s carriage.
Alone she is harmless, but put her in a party and she will shine.

* Hwaryeong then expresses surprise at how Weed was an engraver while Mapan whispers to Weed how the dance that Hwaryeong uses to paralyze/stupefy the monsters is the “bubibubi” (I tried looking it up, and basically, Korean Strip Dance; I lol-ed a little). Then, the group heads for Liberty City. The city made out of red-bricks mentions in the last volume, where Weed gets his Death Knight Necklace identified.

*The story tells us of the latest gossip and we find out that the NPCs have started talking about an adventurer named Weed, who retrieved Fargo’s Crown, lost relic of the Freya Church, and how he exterminated the Vampire Clan serving under the Dark Sorcerer-Lich, Bar Khan. Soon, the word spreads across the cities and continents.

*Back in real-life Lee Hyun, is checking his e-mail and reads an invite to the Dark Gamer’s Union (a place where people get paid for mercenary services, game info, items, etc for Royal Road) received and ignores. He continues to put up some of his un-needed items (Death Knight loot, Vampire Loot, and Holy Gloves obtained from turning in the Freya Cup quest) on the game-item auctioning site, after which he heads to sleep.

*A big commotion happened during that night, thousands of people exclaimed that the legendary, Triple Diamond Rating (from his sale of his Continent of Magic Avatar) Weed has started selling Royal Road items. They jumped at the news of the mighty Weed now dominating another game.
However, the posters soon became disheartened. After seeing that the only items that were on sale were some Death Knight and Vampire equipment. Although some people expressed surprise of the Rose-Engraved Gloves, which were extremely rare due to the fact that they were only given to the Paladins of the order Freya, it just helped to lower Weed's reputation.

*The information slowly spread across the net, where people talked about how Weed of Continent of Magic (CoM) was playing Royal Road, how Weed had Freya’s paladin gear on auction even though there were fewer then a hundred people in the Order of Freya.

*However, people were disappointed, stating how Weed from CoM seemed like a legendary figure, accomplishing impossible deeds, single-handily clearing high level dungeons and raiding bosses; of how Weed was always alone, and now he’s reduced to taking orders from the Freya Church.
They commented on how he used to be a lonely figure of absolute awe and veneration, and how he is turned from a Symbol, to simply a good player.

*Then, somebody appeared, alone voice eager to be heard. He spoke of Weed, and of the miracle that he worked in Mora. He told them of Dark Sorcerer-Lich, Bar Khan and of Vampire lord Tori and his clans demise.
Flamed for posting lies, the poster mentioned that the NPCs of the continent started talking about Weed's prowess and the retrieval of Freya’s sacred artifacts.

*At first people were distrustful, pointing out that Bar Khan was one of the strongest forces in Royal Road at the moment, and how the average vampire level was 270 while Tori, the head of the Clan was 400. However, the evidence was there, one look at the vampire items that Weed was selling and the sacred items and people were like “Holy f*cking Shit!”

*Hyun Lee then wakes up after four hour sleep and heads to the morning market, talking about how its critical for his sister to receive good nutrition and bargaining for fresh vegetables and Meat. After going home, he prepares a meal worthy of a five star restaurant, all thanks to the cooking skills he learned in Royal Road!
He is reminded by his sister to study for his GED (which he thinks is a complete waste time as he would rather study the geography and history of Royal Road rather than that of the real world lol). But he does it anyways.

*Afterwards, he checks his auction site and finds out that he has a whopping 140,000 bids on the gloves, for a total of $230. It turns out that the people bid on it- each usually one won (1/100th of a cent) higher than the previous- to post comments, which ranged from people wanting to be like Weed, to congratulations, to people doing it just because everybody else was doing it.

Weed's legend has reached the ear's of the masses, epicness is sure to follow!

Chapter Two: Jack of all Trades (was literally translated as “Everything Technician” aka, all support classes)

Spoiler:
*We find out that Pale and his party have been constantly nagged by their parents.
At first, their parents were bothering them about colleges, degrees, etc. But now, their parents are trying to get Pale and Co to buy them weapons and help them hunt. Although the parents are inexperienced in hunting, they are not short on money as they work in the games restaurants and shops.
Nonetheless, even wit their parents bothering them, they have finally reached 180.

*About this time, rumors of Weed's accomplishments arrive to Rosenhiem. All the NPCs are talking about how Weed slayed the vampires and liberated Mora, and how the King is looking to talk to Weed. With a quick whisper they congratulate Weed and the scene switches to Geomchi (Weed's old master) and his group.

*They rose from massacring innocent little critters to exterminating undead in the crypts of Lavias, living on a diet of barley bread (they’re more afraid of dying due to hunger from the lack of money to buy barley bread, then dying from a monster)
After learning of how great Weed was, they all decided to strive to be famous and fight monsters that “drop one gold :O”

* A paragraph tells us about Via the Green Dragon, one of the strongest monsters in the game. We are told that she spends her time lazing around in the forest, and from time to time an adventurer confronts her. She rolls her big green eyes at the thought and tries to calm down when she sees in the distance people heading her way. There are hundreds of them, 505, to be exact. They surround her. She yawns!
HUUK!!!

*In Liberty City weed is busy admiring his gold. The are 5600 pieces of it laying in his purse at the moment, when only 3 month ago there were 2000 gold pieces there.
He got the money after selling of the loot from the vampires. He ponders at how a good weapon can bring in hundreds of gold and then heads to the Blacksmith Guild.

* The first thing that Weed notices is the 30 blacksmiths users (player characters) in the guild sitting around a table and complaining about how being a blacksmith sucked, how one spent the whole day hammering while his friend raided a Kobold cave.
One wonders why he chose this boring job in the first place, making weapons for more than 10 days, only to have them be equivalent to the weapons that Kobold dropped.
There is also talk about Thor, the dwarf blacksmith with the highest smiting level of Intermediate 5. They wonde how long that would have took and how they envy him.

*Weed then heads to the 2nd floor, and after talking to the Guild-master and passing a test (simply repairing a shield that needed an intermediate repair level to fix), he learns the blacksmith skill.

*The Blacksmith skill gives the user the ability to create weapons and armors. And since the blacksmith can create equipment for all the professions, the skill grants the player the ability to use all equipment regardless of profession restrictions.
Another huge bonus the skill grants is that it decreases the level required to equip items by 2% per Blacksmith level (?).

*After buying a hammer, grinding wheel, a portable forge that runs on mana, basic molds, etc. Weed takes the ore that he has gathered (as I recall, he hasn’t even sold the ore from the Lair of Litvart yet, yay for stockpiling Very Happy ) and melts it into a refined ore.
With it he forges his first sword.
Assistent of the suryeongeom: 70/70 Durability 6 attack
Restrictions: None
Equipping Bonus: +5 to power

His blacksmith skill is increased by 36%.

*After selling it for 70 silver (and marveling how much more money making potential the Blacksmith skill has) takes is time and melts all the ore's he gathered. This action also give experience to the Blacksmith skill. And with the sh*tload of ore he has gathered he soon levels up.

*At level 2, he can make weapons with improved damage.
At lvl 3, the defense of the armor created by increases, with armor that is made of bronze and copper given an extra additional property (like +1 agility/+x something).
At lvl 4, all weapons Weed creates gets even more damage, and it takes less strength to do more damage with the weapon. At lvl 5, the armor that Weed makes is lighter and he gains the ability to make boots.
At lvl 6, both attack and defense of his created items increases.
For 10 days and nights he does this, only then Weed finally exhausts all the ore he had in his inventory.
It then goes on to explain how, due to Weed’s dexterity level (intermediate Cool, the items that Weed created were two times more durable, with a lot better effects than normal blacksmiths.

*Weed then proceeds to the fishing guild-master who asks whether he wants to become a fishing legend, or if he just wanted to make memorable catches (the only requirements to learn fishing is to have a rod and answer the question). After he purchases a fishing rod he answers the guy.
Contrary to the guild-master's expectations, Weed simply said “I’m hungry, I want to learn because I can eat fish.” Although he was surprised, the guild master laughed and asked Weed to make soup for him sometime, giving Weed some special bait and giving Weed the fishing skill.

*After acquiring 30 pieces of Winches bait, shrimp and krill, Weed goes to the Tailoring guild, distressed and conflicted about “leaning this junk” due to his childhood memories of being exploited in a dusty textile factory as a child. There he became sick and didn't even receive any compensation.

*However, Weed eventually decides to sew, easily passing the sewing test where he is asked to reattach some buttons...
He learns the skill and after buying a pair of scissors and some fabric, Weed sits outside and starts to sew.
Soon (after Weed reached level 2) people started noticing Weed and gathered curiously (most people never watched a craftsman work before), they comment that the clothes that Weed made were simple and without patterns.

*After raising his skill to 4, Weed takes out the premium deerskin (he got from turning Mora villagers back to normal) which is a 2nd tier sewing item giving magical resistance and enhanced agility.
Although the deerskin is usually used by intermediate tailors (for the best effect) Weed decides that the amount of skill exp is better then the money waste and makes a Deer Tunic.

Deerskin Tunic: 40/40 durability 13 Defense
Gives Monks a 2% boost to agility.
Restrictions: Level 15

Raising his sewing Skill to five, with his spectators saying how the clothes looked good and wondering whether sewing skills were supposed to rise that fast. Weed then continued to make items, using up all 200 of the deerskin and increasing his sewing skill to level 9 (due to his superior materials).

Chapter 3: Prismatic Clothing Auctions

Spoiler:
*The chapter begins with an introduction to Liberty City, a great beginner town with lots of advantages for the lower levels.

*However, the normally sleepy atmosphere of this town has been broken by a man, standing next to the main gate, screaming his lungs out. The man is offering to repair items to their max durability, make leather and cloth attire, craft up to bronze armor, and cook 92 different dishes, with the cheapest food offering rises of 150 (?) in strength.

*The newbies rush to Weed, only to e stopped by other users immediately. They are told that Weed was just a scammer, stating that it was common sense that its impossible for somebody to be a tailor, chef, repair, etc. all at the same time...

*Weed is a proud man, and he isn't going to stand being badmouthed like that. Annoyed at the ignorant idiots, he decides to shut them up. He speaks three words, there's a blinding light emanating from his neck and as the light dies out the croud is left screaming and running for their life's.
Weed is now standing next to the fearful and respectful level 200, Death Knight. The Death Knight bows to Weed and refers to his as his master.

*This shuts up the skeptics (because a person high enough to have a Death Knight wouldn’t bother to cheat noobs for their money), the first person came up, cautiously paying 30 copper to cook a piece of meat.
Immediately after tasting it, the user emptied his entire backpack, asking Weed to cook all the meat he had.
Soon, a huge line is formed, with people asking to register Weed as their friend for more services later.

*After finding out that his name is Weed, the people were like “Huh?...No way….” It is then explained that the name Weed in Royal Road had a complex meaning.
It turns out that multiple people can choose the same name (meaning that the name Weed could have been selected even before Lee Hyun made his avatar). However, each name has a unique code so even when trying to private message (PM) a person that has the same name as another person, the code will guide the PM to the correct person.

*After finding out that he’s Weed, he gets mobbed by users, who ask if he’s the Weed from Continent of Magic, whether he was the one who performed the quest for Freya, etc. However, Weed says he’s not the same as the one from CoM (I think) and other people point out that it would be absurd for a person that summoned a Death Knight to work for the Freya church.

*Weed then repairs, cooks, and crafts items.
As time passes, the line just keeps on increasing!
Items repaired by Weed get extra bonuses, his food is delicious and will buff you, the leather equipment he makes is better than all beginner equipment sold in shops in less than half the price. Even level 1 players are spending all their hard earned money on Weed knowing they will use them for a long time.

Advanced Rabbit Leather Pants: 30/30 Durability 10 Defence
Restrictions: None

*Weed dissolves ores he is given and forges equipment out of it, and even though the items that come out are not the best business is still blooming, for one reason. Weed's sculpture mastery helps make the items unique and strong!
An interesting thing to note is the fact that Weed’s engraving skills can be used to enhance his crafted items.

After carving an image of Nine-Tailed Fox on a set of boots:
Impure Steel Boots: 35/35 durability. 6 Defense.
+2 agility

They are transformed into:
Steel Fox Treads 38/38 Durability, 7 defense
+2 agility, +1 Strength, and +1 Stamina .

*Weed is surprised at this fact (seeing as info on sculptors are extremely rare, much less dual sculptor and other craft classes) and compares it the influence of sculptor on the crafting classes, to the influence of mathematics in sciences, art, etc. Combined with the Handicraft Skill Weed finally accepts that being a sculptor is not so bad.

*Weed’s popularity and generosity (he made items from the ingredients, charging only ½ the price of actually buying the items in most stores) soon spread, and people flocked from the nearby cities.

*A small paragraph shows us two high level players talking about Weed and how being a non-combat class doesn't seem so bad after all... they reappear at the start of chapter 7 in real-life.
Little do they know that Weed is a Legendary Moonlight Sculptor and the hardships he had to go through before reaching this point.

* Weed put's up his Mora Deer skin clothes up for sale, selling them all almost as soon as he takes them out. They sell like hot cakes for 200-300 gold and more.

*Weed’s Blacksmith skill reaches the intermediate class, enabling him to learn Sword Grind, which enhance weapon damage, and Polish Armor, which makes the sometimes confuses/dazzles the enemy and (maybe) increases defense.
Also granting him +5 to all stats, +50 reputation, and +3 Art.

*Shortly afterwards, Weed’s sewing skill hit 10, turning to intermediate also, granting Weed the Ironing ability (rise in defense) and handwashing (?) abilities (gives a random defense bonus and option, although severe rewashing can damage the clothes.
Weed also gains +5 to all stats, +50 reputation, and +70 art.

*Finally, he announces that because of “personal reasons” he couldn’t stay any longer. But he tells the crowd that in three days he will be auctioning his best works tailored from the Prismatic Cloth, before logging out.

*Many people wondered what the Prismatic Cloth was, so one person goes to the Royal Road Information Site and learns that
the Sovereign Prismatic Cloth (google trans: President of the Rainbow) is one of the ultimate sewing materials.
Items made from it are given seven different characteristics, with the ability to deflect ranged attacks and offering great defense.
However Intermediate Sewing skills are required.

*Word of the auction spreads like a wildfire and three days later, on the promised day of the auction, the city is packed with people, from hopeful individuals to clan (player-formed guild) representatives intent of purchasing the items for their clan.

*Mapan starts the bidding (because Weed doesn’t want anybody to connect his face to that of the Princess Knight’s).
Mapan explains that there are 13 items sewn by Weed and that they will all be up for sale.
The bids reach 4000 gold per item.

*The day after the auction hundreds of people gather at the spot Weed occupied. They came hoping he was still there, but true to his word Weed was already gone.

Chapter 4: Engraving Master Darone (google trans: Daronui Engraving)
Spoiler:

*The Bensa (I think, I’m not sure if it’s the name) River is one of the most famous locations in Royal Road. In addition to its popularity with fishermen, its scenic views combined with its ideal picnic location make it an extremely popular spot for couples.
However, the couples who ignorantly visit the river during the monsoon season are usually treated to a flash flood and death by drowning (something along the lines of: “Aww…this is so beautiful, look at this river and sky” and promises of love, to “hey, isn’t the water getting a little bit too high?” to “Shouldn’t we probably go befor-“ *river flash-floods*)

*The Bensa River is peaceful at the moment, the rainy season is still far off. Weed has spent his time on its bank for a week now, fishing and sculpting. He contemplates the difference between fishing and professions like blacksmith and sewing.
His blacksmith skill reached level 6 in ten days while after fishing for a week, his skill level is only 3!
Instead of simply churning out items at maximum speed, fishing requires lots of patience. Furthermore, although its slightly affected by dexterity and bait, fishing depends on personal skill.

*As Weed is bothered by real life issues he starts drinking and can't help but be frustrated. He need to raise 2million won for his sisters tuition fees. How earned a little money from the sale of Freya's items but it is still not enough. And even with the banks interest getting this big sum will be hard.

*He looks at the river and remembers the good times he had in the city of heavens and Mora. He remembers the ice dragon he made and how it was so awesome it affected the surroundings and thinks of a good idea. PMing Mapan, he asks him to transport a large stone over.
Mapan is grateful to Weed for the fame and prestige he got from handling the Rainbow Cloth auction and is happy to help.

*Weed is waiting for Mapan, all the while waiting for fish to bite. Soon he can't take it anymore, he knows he is doing something wrong!

He observes to the other fisherman, he never bothered with them since they fish as a hobby and not for stats and food.
He overhears a conversation between a couple of fisherman and learns that they are part of Fishing Club and this is one of their meeting places.

*He keeps eavesdropping and learns aplenty of useful information. Weed then overhears that there are specific areas where fish are present (ex: places with plants, clear water, turbulent water, place where algae is concentrated, places of a specific temperature, etc.), finally realizing why he isn’t catching any decent fish.
He tries all he has heard and not a moment later he is surrounded by fish he has caught.

*Although Mapan arrived with the stone, Weed struggles to decide on what he should make.
Inspired by the little mermaid story, he decides to carve a mermaid. The other anglers curiously watch as Weed carves the mermaid statue (once again based off of Seoyun).

*The statue has an artistic value of 450 and has the ability of preventing floods in the river for the next 10 years.
To the dismay and anger of all of the other fisherman, who enjoyed watching all the lovey-dovey couples getting washed away, Weed is asked to destroy the statue. (Apparently, after the floods the fisherman would always find lots of money and equipment on the shores.)

*Weed is then forced to destroy the statue which reduces his reputation by 3, increasing his sculpting skill by 0.2% and convert’s ½ of his art stats to agility/dexterity (not sure which) for the rest of the day. Note: this can also be interpreted as converting all of his art stats to twice as much agility/dexterity stats. His art stat, which was over 900, is promptly converted, allowing him to fish so fast that his hands were a blur (I am extremely unsure about this sentence).

*The scene then switches to Geomchi and his gang, who are currently decimating the population of one of the southern forests of Rosenheim kingdom. Due to the lack of vendors, they can only resort to “cooking” the deer and bird meat they catch, so distasteful that most of the trainees were fantasizing about the “good old days” of barley bread.

*They then meet a child, who pleads them to help rescue his parents from giants, a C difficulty quest.

A giant has taken over the town and is forcing the people to take care of him. With all the work and the food the giant eats the people are exhausted.
Save the boys parents before the become the giants snack.
Difficulty: C
Reward: Black swords used by mercenaries.
Limit: 10 days.

*Despite his record of refusing all previous quests offered, Geomchi accepts the quest to the surprise of some of the trainees, stating that it should be natural to help those in need.
The enthusiasm of the group is slightly dampened once they discover the footprints of the giants, which are 3 meters in diameter. However, they continue to the giant’s cave, swarming the giant like ants and eventually killing it.

*They all go up 2 levels, receive an increase in familiarity with villagers, gain 26 reputation, and each received a better sword.

*The story then goes back to Weed, who discovered the fishing market. He is bored since he hasn't fought monsters for so long, but he understands that raising fishing skill requires peaceful times.
One need to catch many mall fish to level , but catch a really big fish and it might raise your level all at once.

*We find out that has reached 97.6% beginning lvl 9 after long struggles, fishing motionlessly right next to a good-looking young man named Zephyr/Jaffre which he befriended while fishing (google trans alternates his names).
The stillness is first broken by Jaffre, who pulls his rod, announcing that he had a big catch, which turned out to be an old boot. Weed then pulled up his line, which was attached to a 45 cm carp.

*Weed finally reaches Intermediate fishing, obtaining a +25 water affinity, +2000 life, increased effect when cooking fish, the ability to catch specialty fish, a +50% to the effects of fish food/bait (not sure which one), +3 to all stats, +50 reputation, +30 endurance (google trans: “patience” but I figured that was endurance due to some hints later on in the volumes), +30 intelligence, and +30 wisdom.

*He then leaves, to the disappointment of Jaffre, and heads to a store, buttering up the manager in order to sell the sculptures he made while fishing. The shopkeeper looks the statuettes, varying from vampires to landscapes carved in ston, and is amazed at the high quality.
After buying the statues for 245 gold, the shopkeeper mentions that engraving master Darone lived near the store (I think)

Chapter 5: Sculpture Transformation (google trans: Shapeshifter sculpture)
Spoiler:

*Guided by the information that the shopkeeper gave him, Weed heads to the city slums. There he locates the house/workshop of Darone in the town of Rega (I think).
Eager to learn one of the five techniques of the 5 Engraving masters (Zahab and the Emperor being 2 of them), Weed enters the workshop where he come upon Darone carving a sculpture of a woman. Weed watches him carve the statue, Darone stops from time to time to cough up blood and then immediately continues to carve.

*As he finishes the sculpture,Darone looks up, correctly identifying Weed as an engraver, and offers to teach Weed a special skill. Although Weed tried to enthusiastically accept, Darone tells Weed that he will not give the skill to anybody, requiring Weed to first finish a quest first.
Weed is then offered a quest that requires him to observe the behaviors of five different creatures to such an extent that Weed can perfectly predict and mimic the actions of the five. Although Weed is kind of embarrassed and shocked, he accepts the quest, choosing the rabbit as his first observational animal.

*Feeling miserable, Weed begins to imitate the rabbit, crouching over and eating grass (which, thanks to his herb-gathering skill, is not as bad as it seems).
Weed then bunny hops, trying to follow the rabbits which zig-zags and run in short bursts in random directions, shocked at the speed of rabbits. (In his words “Why the f*ck is a rabbit so fast?”) After observing and mimicking rabbits for a whole day, Weed has reached 35% of the progress for understanding rabbits.

*It then explains all of the things that Weed learned about rabbits and their thought and behavioral patterns. Also, he is so acquainted with rabbits now that Weed can literally go up right next to them without scaring them. Five days then past, with Weed progress exceeding 84%, and with Weed reaching a point where Weed can literally predict what the rabbit will do. As he continues to study rabbits, he gets to the point where he can command the rabbits. Weed says “sit down. Stand up. Roll, Jump to the side” and that’s what the rabbit does.

*Finally, Weed finishes the rabbit observation and without a moments rest he goes up to the deer. He can just barely follow it due to his high agility stats. At first he tries to run after the deer, but then realizes that deer are quadruped beasts, so he gets down on all fours and starts following the deer.

*We now find out that Hwaryeong and Mapan have been going around trading and decide to visit Rega in order to build up relationships with the NPCs and therefore make more money with the trading.
The two are currently talking about the profits (or at least Mapan was) made from the trip-because most of the trip consisted of traveling from one city to another. They then talk about how Weed and how he defeated the vampires and rescued the Freya’s Paladins, etc.
While they are entering Rega, they notice a large group of people congregating near the hunting grounds. Curious, Mapan and Hwaryeong go and see something strange. They see a fox running through the field, with a person following it, with his actions perfectly resembling a foxes. A girl among the watchers then comments on how that person had mimicked rabbits, deer, goblins, and now a fox.
Then Mapan and Hwareong finally recognizes that it was Weed who was the one that was running with the fox, and then slowly walk away (lol).

*The Point of view switches back to Weed, who is currently going to a horse farm on the outskirts of the city. After a day, Weed reaches 12% progress, with Weed ending the day by only eating vegetables in order to “fully understand” the horse. Weed finally reaches 100%, completing the quest and acquiring a skill.

Movement Skill: Quadruped Run (gogole trans: four-run: go series).
It allows an increase of 60% to speed (either that, or requires the user to pay a certain amount of health and mana in order to use. Or something else, I’m not sure)
Reduces the normal stamina consumption rate when running against the wind by 30%, and increases speed when running with the wind by 20%). Furthermore, when running in mountain terrain, plains, or grasslands, the speed of the user is increased by 80%.
Weed’s stamina also increases by 5 and his agility is increased by 10.

*Weed heads back to Darone, and is surprised to find that Darone is working on another statue, almost exactly the same as the woman statue that he created last time (seeing as there’s a severe penalty for creating the same work over again). Weed then reports to Darone that he has comprehended the natures of five animals.

*At Darone’s request, Weed begins to confidently carve a rabbit sculpture and realizes that something is different.
He realizes that there are subtle difference in the ways that the ears, feet, tail, etc were carved, discovering that creating a sculpture of a rabbit was different than it was in the past.
In the past he only mimicked the way they animals looks, but now he knows the animal's anatomy and behavior. This allows him to create realistic looking statues.

*Weed then finishes carving all five of the creatures he observed, creating a masterpiece with an artistic value of 460 and the option of increasing health and mana regeneration by 6% during the day, increased affinity towards animals, a 15% rise in resistance to fire, a +25 leadership bonus, +10 intellect increase, and a +10 increase in movement speed.

*Weed is surprised to find out that masterpieces can be small, remarking on how all his works used to be large.
Darone tells Weed that he passed the test.
Darone then starts to cough blood, telling Weed that he is going to die soon. Darone offers Weed a quest, to assist him in making sculptures (Darone wants to finish an order of 300 sculptures before he dies), also giving a 2 fold increase in sculpting experience gain during the period of the quest. Because it is a good opportunity for Weed (his sculpting skill is almost at intermediate 7) he gladly accepts.

*Weed created sculptures with Darone for the whole week, morning, day, and night.
After they carved 300 statues, Weed learns the Sculpture Shapeshifting skill and the Passive skill of Understanding Sculptures.
He then calls up his skill info:
Sculpture Shapeshifting: A technique created by Engraving Master Darone. Can change the casters body into the form of the statue.
Limitations: Can only be casted on sculptures made by those who fully understand the object of the carving (aka: Weed has to understand the thing that he’s carving before making a statue that he can cast shapeshifting on).
Skill Requirements: 2000 Mana, 500 or more in Art
Notice! Even if transformed into another race, all stats are scaled to your level. If you transform into the body of a large creature, you will consume more stamina and require more strength.

Sculpture Comprehension 1 (0%): Allows you to create even higher quality works of sculptures you know. As skill level goes up, additional effect of Sculptural Shapeshifiting will be added.
Beginner: Adds 10% to the effect of transformation. Can only change into earthbound races
Intermediate: Adds 20% to effect of transformation. Can now change into flying creatures. However, you must learn how to fly.
Advanced: Adds 30% to the effect of transformation. Can transform into colossal creatures.

*Weed is satisfied with the skill, although he is disappointed that even if he transformed into something strong like a dragon, he would still be nowhere near the strength of an actual dragon.
Darone coughs up more blood again, and with his dying breath, asks Weed to forge his way forward as an engraver and master his skills. He then rambles on about how he wished he had finished the sculpture of the woman he loved and how the Legendary Egnraver Emperor managed to unify the entire continent.
Weed flashes back to how he thought he had been scammed when he first took the engraving job, and how the farther he progresses as a sculptor the more accepts being one.

*After talking about engravers who forsook fame and fortune to pursue dreams like carving the moonlight, Darone dies, with his last words being “Oh, Elrien” (presumably his lover’s name?).
Weed then sculpts a statue in the memory of Darone, creating a Masterpiece with an Artistic value of 2300. +50% life regeneration. +40% magic resistance, +45 increase in vitality, and +10 to all stats, making it his second true Masterpiece.

*Weed’s engraving level rises to eight intermediate, with his dexterity going up to nine intermediate, and his Sculpture Comprehension going to level 4 beginners.
As a reward for creating the sculpture, Weed gains 1200 fame, 79 Art, 3 Endurance , 3 Stamina, and 5 leadership. Also, all of Weed’s stats rises by 1.

Chapter 6: Siege of Ohdein Castle

Spoiler:
*After remarking that it has been a couple of months since he fought monsters and experienced the thrill of battle, we find out that Weed had not leveled up since his quest for Freya (so he’s still at level 228). Pale/Fail and his friends have reached a level around 190, Hwaryeong is lvl 210, and Mapan is lvl 160.

*We also find out that Geomchi and his group have been PMing Weed frequently in order to find out what drops the most delicious food, etc. It also turns out that the top 5 of the martial artists have gotten so attuned to fighting with the wolves in the forest that they perfectly predict all of the wolves’ movements, dealing critical hits and coming out of a fight unscathed.

*The other students ask Geomchi what will happen to Weed's fighting skills now that he hasn't used them for so long. The master said that just like a lion doesn't forget how to hunt Weed's fighting instinct will not rust.

*The scene then shifts to the Ohdein fort, where the Oasis clan and Balkan clan are assaulting the Prosperous Empire clan controlling Fort Ohdein.
The Empire clan controls a mini independent state/valley. Although the Balkan clan have assaulted Fort Ohdein unsuccessfully several times, they have joined up with the Oasis clan (which was a mercenary clan).
Because of the lucrative awards offered by both sides ( tax breaks, rewards per kill, etc) users flocked to both sides.

*We are then shown that Fort was buzzing with activity, with groups arriving, corps being dispatched, seeing that if the Prosperous Empire Clan lost, they would lose everything. The Masked Butterfly (?) mercenaries who were attracted by the rewards gather near the fort, nervously talking about how the siege is fierce, how they can see flying wizards (aka, extremely high level ones; forgot the exact level that a wizard needed to learn levitate, but it was in the end of vol 2 I think)

*Because the Prosperous Empire guild controls a gold mine and need manpower, they have commissioned a 10 gold per enemy reward, leading to tons of people flocking to join. The battle then begins, with the Balkan guild’s army marching forward, clashing (maybe-all it said was the army marching forward and something about Iron Knights) with the elite Iron Cross Knights defending the fort.

*The Iron Knights retreat after a short skirmish, as the tidal wave of tens of thousands storm the fort, to be intercepted by the spells of wizards and archers (it was compared to throwing pebbles inside an ocean). The wizards were countered in turn, by the spirits, golems, and assassins who were conjured onto/infiltrated the fort.

*The Battle for Fort Ohdein truly begins now, with npc's and users trying to swarm up the walls with ropes and ladders, with ballistas and catapults causing severe damage onto the Balkan army. After four hours, with the walls Fort on the brink of being overrun by the Balkans (although they had to sacrifice more than 1/3 of their fighting power to do it).

*This is the time where the mercenaries and Weed attack. Thinking about how the real the fight felt (compared to the large-scale fights broadcasted on T.V. or the clan wars in Continent of Magic) and feeling a sense of battle, Weed uses the Sculpting Blade technique to kill a combatant, with the other mercenaries casting their skills as well.

*Weed then proceeds to slaughter several opponents commenting on how weak they were (its because he had over 9000 health and the ironing+sharpening skill, not to mention his Sculpting Blade which bypasses all armor and his amazing combat experience. ).
After killing 4 people, the novel explains that the mercenaries will receive the compensation according to the request; rarely, fame and sometimes even a title may be granted.

*With his 42 comrades averaging lvl 250 (about the same combat strength as a vampire) they managed to easily cut a swath through the Balkan Army (end conjecture). Because of Weed’s threat level, many tried to jump him, but due to their much lower levels, they were almost cut down immediately.

*The battle raged on all day, with blood running in streams. However, in the end, victory belonged to the Empire guild, thanks to the thick walls of the Ohdein fort and the 42 users of the Masked Butterfly Mercenaries, which will become a legend in those lands.

*The scene switches to Geomchi and his group, who are fighting in the mountains and valleys on the southern tip of Rosenheim. They have now reached an average of level 180, catching up to Weed quickly (the only thing that they have been doing is fighting lol). However, unknown to the martial artists, they are being watched. By whom? Interestingly, its by the 4 PK-ers that attempted to kill Weed and Mapan.

*Although its been a few months since that encounter, the levels of the four PK-ers are still near the same level, seeing as they ignore monster hunting in favor of killing people; basically, sacrificing exp and skill for items and money. Although the martial artists numbered 505, they split into hunting groups of around five (or at least Geomchi’s group was five people anyways). The 4 Pk-ers then decide to jump one of the groups, which turned out to be the group with Geomchi and his top 4 students.

*The first PK-er, Gran, uses the skill <Sword of Flame> and attempts to attack Geomchi with his flaming sword. However, Geomchi, moving like he was taking a leisurely stroll, stepped back one step, simultaneously pulling out his sword and intercepts Gran’s Flaming Sword. Gran calls Geomchi stupid, for <Sword of Flame> explodes after a short time in contact with another object.

*He is stunned however, that the flow of his sword is changed, causing the sword to erupt in empty air with no damage to Geomchi. It then turns out, that the martial artists have learned a new technique. However, because it costs 50 mana (lol, these guys have never invested points in intellect xD), it is very hard for them to use the technique. The technique consists of first pinpointing the direction of the enemy attack and the amount of power behind it.
Then, the user diverts the power, changing the flow of the attack and causing it to miss.

*Gran then attempts to attack 5 more times, with each attack being misdirected. Geomchi then asks what type of humanoid enemy Gran is, and scornfully says that Death Knights had better attack patterns then Gran. Geomchi and his disciples then begin to attack, annihilating the group.

*After a day, the 4 Pk-ers then reunite, still shocked at the fact that they were so completely destroyed yesterday. They then contact the Jamaican (IDK either, I think its one of those crappy google translate thingies) Guild, receiving 300 people as backup and assault Geomchi and his group again.

*Seeing their melee forces getting exterminated, the PK group concentrates on magical attacks, pulling back all their forces to far range. After being consecutively assaulted by range attacks (arrows, <Ice Storm>, <Thunder Bold>, etc) many of the martial artists lose their lives.
Stating that his is their first crisis since they all died from the lack of barley bread, Geomchi orders them to pull back into the woods, with only 260 martial artists left and all of them with only ½ of their life left. The disciples try to convince Geomchi to flee while they stay behind and hold the enemy back. Claiming that they were real men, Geomchi stays with the disciples and fight the attackers. Due to the PK-ers back-up of priests, more of the lower level trainees die. Finally the martial artists have been killed.

*Coming out of his capsule, thinking about how he lost, and considering the limitations of swordsmanship, he goes up to the blackboard and starts writing the names of the 4 PK-ers (Gran, Halma, Slender, and Rewi) and the Jamaica guild, declaring that the dojo will get their revenge.

*The scene goes back to the PK-ers who are anticipating the rich rewards they will get from looting the martial artists. One of them then remarks how, although he enjoys the taste of killing, it is the allure of trophies that actually makes him a PKer, stating how a person can hunt hard for days to get a piece of equipment whereas a PKer can easily take it off of him. They then examine the loot inventory only to be shocked beyond belief. There was a sword which urgently needed repair, a cape, and a bag. As for everything else? Barley Bread. Laughing

OMG Thanks for putting this up! I'm too impatient to wait for everything to be properly uploaded!

Super funny part :

Chibi: okay, so dark and I have come to a conclusion to tell everyone.
Dark: althoug we have no idea what bubibubi dance is,
Chibi: we DO know is not or only partially is what Anime king said, seeing as how Hwa Ryung,
Dark: which is translated as Flower Spirit if I'm not mistaken,
Chibi: used the skill on multiple enemies at the same time, and she is very innocent according to how she acts, uses it without physical contact. Besides, do you really think they would put private parts on monsters in a game that people of all ages, including kids, play? When most likely a bunch of pervs are playing as well, and there are female monsters such as Vampire Ladies, female Dark Elves, pixies, fairies, and such? That's like going "hey, kids! You'll have to learn this eventually, but we're just going to scar you for life and be done with it!" Yes, I know Yu Wo's novel had one like that, but still... oh, dark has to leave now, so I'll stop ranting for now. Ciao!

Hmm, seeing as how Royal Road is like the ultimate MMORPG with the designers trying to make the game as real as possible, I believe "lady parts" ,as you called them, are in the game!
I like to think there is an option like in SAO where one can enter the system settings and choose if his 18 or under. And you can't even cheat the game, as it pretty much knows all your personal details.
Moreover, erotic dancers don't have to touch you to... how do I put it... hmm... get a reaction from you...

I'm fairly certain that there is a "mature" filter in the game. Didn't it mention something about
Spoiler:
a certain orc not wanting to lose his ********* to the adoring female NPC orcs?
...But I may be wrong.

Would "lapdance" be an appropriate translation or at least similar enough to get approved? It hints at the "matureness", but it could still be something totally different/non-sexual.

And this strikes me kinda funny:

Female Dancer encounter Wolves ->Female Dancer uses "Lap Dance" ->Wolves are entranced ->Female Dancer Escapes!

Female Dancer encounters PKers ->Female Dancer uses "Lap Dance" ->PKers are entranced ->Female Dancer Escapes! (->Pker asks "Hey, where's our Lapdance?")

Thanks for posting the summary, could hardly understand anything from the Google translated volumes from JCafe. Love how Weed is simply insane when it comes to leveling up and earning money, particularly when it concerns money. Chapter 7 was very interesting in how it showed off his crazy abilities. However, the parts about his crafting skills were enjoyable in that he accomplishes amazing things that others are incapable of doing.
