Yea, but I mean questions that don't belong in any of the current threads.

I actually already asked this question in Baka-Tsuki, and they answered quite simply. They have many translators working on different project in more than a dozen languages. If we want their help we should ask the translators directly.
However when I PM'ed the translators I got no response, so instead of stalking them I decided to wait for a while.

I believe that if a translator from OSS is the one to ask it will have grater effect in persuading them to help out on LMS.

About the languages, the main are Japanese and Chinese with the other being
German
Spanish
French
Vietnamese
Russian
Brazilian Portuguese
Italiano
Polish
Romanian
Hungarian
Norwegian
Korean
Lithuanian
Indonesian
Greek
Turkish
Tagalog
Czech
Esperanto

True, it would be a good help in translating, but more people could mean longer time until the translations arrive for people to read. Why? Because of the proofreading.

If more people are in a group working on a project, they might disagree on their ideas about the translation. Some may say the current is correct, some may say otherwise.

Think about it. What's longer? A fight of 3 v.s. 3 or a war of 3,000,000 v.s. 3,000,000? Obviously, the latter. It's the same with discussions. And no, one group doing one chap and the other group doing the next wouldn't work, because the groups would disagree on the translations. So:

More people = clearer, but slower.

But what if there's perfect synergy (never thought I'd use this word Surprised ) between the translators and the proofreaders?
Yes 100 heads are not always better than one, but 3 or 4 can still work faster...

I think any number of people could work as long as there's a good leader. For example, regardless of what I think looks best in proofing, I leave the ultimate choice up to Noobz and proofers I recognize as more experienced. There can be as much debating as there has to be, just as long as there's a solid structure to follow.

Agreed, Blique. However, too much people would lead to having even the leader being unable to keep track of them all. If there is more than one leader, there may be chances of the leaders disagreeing, and if it happens multiple times, the group may be split up.

(I just woke up, so the other OSS members should know why I'm talking like this right now.)

Oh wow, thanks so much to Oddsquad Translations for the newest release! That was a really satisfying read. Reading a properly translated chapter is even more satisfying than reading only the summary of a whole volume. Very Happy

Heh, it says Pale's group learned from Weed to profit from any situation, but it seems their parents have even more experience than they do, bringing up the fact that they raised the kids. Lol! Still, Weed even managed to profit from the Avians' poor memories. x'D

I also like the way Oddsquad presented the stats, it's a nice format.

Congratulations to the contest winners by the way! They're all awesome entries! Very Happy

Thank y'all for the new chapter.
Love Weed the Teacher! Very Happy

Isn't Sword Kaiser one of the skills Weed picked up from the old Emporer?

I know that.
The question wasnt about the "Sword Kaiser"-Part (Weed just renamed the skill that way) but about the "comprehension 5%"-part.

Sorry about that.

I'd assume that at 100% comprehension, Weed would either be able to use Sword Kaiser to its full potential, and/or use it at no mana cost.

So Weed is only 5% of the way there.
