i never said i was doing an add-on lol but was a great idea
well i tried and it's stupid on how easy it was even tough i wasted some time because i didn't do this before
oh well...at least i learned something
download extension here

doubleclick or drag and drop on browser then install..it's pretty easy
i noticed a little bug that sometimes it reloads the website indefinitely but you just have to stop it(press the little x where refresh was lol)
most of the time it works....so i'm not sure why it does that
i'm not a javascript expert so if you have an idea let me know

Er better not release to the public yet, people with slow pc will freeze from infinite loading, we'll put up a opera version once the "universal" plugin is perfected

web console for tablets

Post  eramos35 on Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:24 am

I've got a transformer prime tablet and do not know how to open the web console in order to translate cheese in the trap. I even downloaded a few keyboards with the f12 key. Nothing. Then I downloaded Firefox (chrome not available for my tablet) and tried to download the plug in. Can't. Is there a manual way to open the console on tablets? I do NOT have a "tools" option for either web browser.

Hello SecretTalisman,

I suggest you to read with attention the dedicaced page for Cheese in the Trap at http://www.oddsquad.org/p/cheese-in-trap.html

Additionnaly, you can scan the errors the addon might produce through the developper tool. I think you will find 404 errors : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_404

I think another person had the same problem than you in this same very topic, I advise you to read it all if you didn't find the solution with the two previous comments.

Best regards, if you have other troubles feel free to ask.

Re: Plugin/Code Troubleshooting

Post  NooNinaJa on Thu Jun 14, 2012 7:52 pm

Hi there.
I've tried this on Google Chrome, but I've been having the same issue. At first I downloaded your plug in on both Firefox and Chrome and opened the Naver Page, then let it sit for a few HOURS, and nothing came up. Then, I tried opening a new tab, pressing Ctrl + Shift + K, loading the Naver Page, and pasting the Universal Code into the box with the arrow pointing to the right.
My current version of Firefox is 13.0 and the CITT extension is 1.0.
Any help is very much appreciated. I'm sure you can understand the feelings of an distraught Otaku.

UPDATE: I read through the forum a bit after I posted this help and I thought that perhaps I have been posting the wrong code? However, I tried searching for it, but I can't find the individualized codes for each chapter. All I can find is the Universal code.

Hello NooNinaJa.

I read your message, and saw the 404 error from remedy.forgottenrain.net.
I checked myself, and the images are simply no longer there, so it's not your fault and you did everything fine.

I'm "investigating" on the matter as fast as I can (the server is not mine), but in the worst case scenario, I still have a copy of the images, and will be able to upload them onto another server.

edit:
the problem should be resolved, see the most recent news.

Which chapter of which webtoon are you trying to see on naver.com ? Give the URL.

Do you see a little navbar (the chapter name, with first / previous / next / last buttons) ?

Load the naver.com page with the web console activated, and seek the moment where the feed is being accessed (GET http://lmsodd.x10.mx/ ...). Copy-paste that line.

Re: Plugin/Code Troubleshooting

If there's a navigation bar near the (translated) title and description of the webtoon you are viewing, it means

1°) the plugin works, because it found the translation of the title of the webtoon.
2°) the webtoon you are viewing is an active project (otherwise there would not be any navbar indicating what's the next translated chapter, or the previous one, or the first one, or the last one).

The name of the chapter is given in the navigation bar, and I can read "Season 2 Chapter 37".

If the name of the chapter is in green, it means it has been translated (and you should see the translation). In case of a problem, a message appears saying how much images could'nt have been loaded.

If it's red, it means the chapter has not yet been translated.

Thank you for your message, I'll make sure to convey more obvious messages if the chapter has not been translated (the red indicator is not obvious).

Chapter 37 from the second season has not yet been translated, thus the plugin does not translate it.

It's my fault, I corrected the code.

I assume you are using the manual method.

By the way, here's some sort of guide for using userscripts in Safari
http://8-p.info/greasekit/

If you happen to test it (it's just a suggestion), could you provide some feedback?
The idea would be to install the SIMBL and GreaseKit addons for Safari, then use oddsquad's userscript.
http://www.oddsquad.org/p/naver-addon.html

Thank you for your concern (and give feed back if you try to install the addon on safari, I'm curious).

By reading your descriptive report about your long itinerancy, I've sensed some emphasis around a mystical missing "seed", so I'd merely suggest that this "seed" could be coincidentally linked to this apparently very annoying problem.
To be honest this seems to me the less evasive hint I can catch, so right now I have no other idea.

And I ponder. What would happen if ever your eyes gazed on such a thing, just laying somewhere on the internet, doin' nothing?
In a situation like that, I'd grab it just to be sure, and try to use it in one way or another. What do you think?

There are some extensive and painful guides written by some moron here, very long but I'd give it a shot if I were you.
Pick the method you prefer (automatic plugin, or don't install nothing but insert manually the code each time).
automatic method (plugin)
http://www.oddsquad.org/p/naver-addon.html
manuel method
http://www.oddsquad.org/2010/01/irc.html

Best regards, be courageous, and good luck.
